Happy Anniversary

A quiet day that began with breakfast out at one of our favorite dinners in. Funny, as I age presents don't seem so important but doing things together is. I put coins into money wrappers so hubby can turn in coins and finish his train setup. Hip hip hurray. I can hardly wait. It has been a good year and I find we are kinder to each other as we age.

Ever Wish for Praises

Only to discover you are surprised and often embarrassed. When I look at my work some times i am impressed and other times embarrassed. The best praise I ever received was from Jeremy a 10 year old student. The student would frequently say Mrs. Anderson "You don't love us. I use to argue and finally change my tactic and said you are right I don't love you. Well Jeremy said " Yes you do." I replied How do you know. And he said "I can tell by the way you talk to us and the tone of your voice." Thanks Jeremy where ever you are. You not only made my day but my world.
THE SNEEZE

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two
students filing into the
already crowded auditorium.

With their rich maroon gowns flowing and the
traditional caps, they looked
almost as grown up as they felt.

Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms
freely brushed away tears.

This class would NOT pray during the commencements
---not by choice, but
because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.

The principal and several students were careful to
stay within the
guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave
inspirational and challenging
speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and
no one asked for
blessings on the graduates or their families.

The speeches were nice, but they were routine until
l the final speech
received a standing ovation.

A solitary student walked proudly to the micro
phone. He stood still and
silent for just a moment, and then it happened.

All 92 students, every single one of them,
SNEEZED!!!!

The student on stage simply looked at the audience
and said, 'GOD BLESS
YOU'. And he walked off stage.

The audience exploded into applause. This
graduating class had found a
unique way to invoke God's blessing on their
future with or without the
court's approval.

THAT DESERVES A HUGE AMEN!!

Isn't this a wonderful story? Pass it on to all
your friends and GOD BLESS
YOU!!! This is a true story. It happened at the
University of Maryland.

Vicki Sullivan nominated me with this Weblog Award.  The award is given to weblogs that somehow catch your eye!

Pay It Forward.....Leads

Have you "PIF'ed" yet? PIF stands for Pay It Forward with Blog Candy.
If you haven't "Paid it Forward" yet here's your chance. I need three stampers that will promise to "Pay it Forward" to three other stampers.

Here are the details:
1) Be the first three to comment to this post. Be sure that you leave a way that I
can contact you because I will need your mailing address.
2) I will send YOU some "PIF" stamping goodies.
3) In return, you commit to send three other stampers some "PIF" stamping goodies too. Then they will send three other stampers some stamping goodies also. See how that works?

So, if you want to play along and PAY IT FORWARD, here's your chance. I will take the first three ladies that comment to this post and send them some goodies.
Thank you De for my first PIF!

1.  Let's see if I get this right.  Three people sign up for my PIT and comment.  I will send each person a gift and in return you do the same to 3 other people on your site.  The gifts will be card kits from CTMH.  They are new but I will be repackaging them for convenience of sending.
2.  Leads is an organization of woman helping woman improve their business.  The Organization can have thirty members.  If you live in the Inland Empire in California  from Pomona to Fontana and are interested leave a comment or email me.  We are looking for woman in the following areas of expertise: computers, carpet cleaning, handy woman, homeopathic, taxes or accounting,  photography, acupuncture, pet grooming, landscaping, automotive, and travel agent.

Loading Blog is so slow so.....

I haven't posted cause it seems forever to load.  So I am experimenting by reducing a number of things on the blog.  I have some items to add....Pay It Forward, Pictures, and ads for Leads.  This week has been filled with highs and lows.  I got depressed and this time it was by choice so I was able to see the steps I take.  Still not enough  energy to post much more.
We went to ball game with my youngest son and his family last night and they had fireworks there.  This was one of the few years I was able to enjoy them.  Fireworks remind of bombs going off in Iraq or any where else.
When we got home I took meds for restless leg and I lost a whole day.  I take the meds only as needed and never soooo late like after midnight.  So needless to say I lost a day.
Tomorrow, Sat. we are going to beach to have lunch with my cousin's hubby.  It will be the first time to see him since her funeral in May.  I am looking forward to visiting with him at the cooler beach temperatures.  On the way home hope to stop at my favorite stamp store, HeartsN Crafts, Etc., in Covina.  Sunday  I plan to go to Sunday Service at Glen Ivy and with that I know my attitude will improve.  Here's to looking toward the bright side of life.
